        Even if I wanted to, I can't anyways.  Primarily because I only
own the copyright on a small percentage of all the gEDA/gaf code.  In order
to become a proper GNU project, I would have to get all the contributer's
permission/copyright.  And as can be seen by the above text, I know of
at least _one_ person who wouldn't agree.  ;->

        I did consider it when I started, but for some reason (can't
remember the exact reason), I decided against becoming a GNU project.

        So here we are today: a large code base that no one person owns
the full copyright to.  And that's the way I like it. :)
