What might be really nice is a combined forum/e-mail list system.
Does any such thing exist?  That way people that want to use the forum
format can do so and people that want stuff in their inbox (like me)
could do that.  One nice thing about doing this sort of thing
ourselves is that we might get a more used mail archive.
