Hi all,

I would like to push the following patches as soon as possible.

http://reviews.gem5.org/r/2450/
http://reviews.gem5.org/r/2451/
http://reviews.gem5.org/r/2452/
http://reviews.gem5.org/r/2453/
http://reviews.gem5.org/r/2454/
http://reviews.gem5.org/r/2455/

In essence these patches integrate the BSD-licensed DRAMPower tool in gem5,
placing the C++ code in ext, and integrating the model by instantiating
instances of the power model in DRAMCtrl. Appropriate stats are also added to
DRAMCtrl and extracted on-line. As such the integration replaces the off-line
text/stats-munging we have relied on until now. The performance overhead of the
power model is in the order of 1%, which I would argue is acceptable. After
all, DRAM power is important.

Let me know if you have any input on the patches. I will aim to push it by
Friday this week unless someone objects.

Thanks,

Andreas
