[AMD Official Use Only - General] Hello,
I don't know how to change the frequency or if it will work, but in your gem5 python script you can call "m5.simulate(10 * 1e12)" to simulate 10 seconds worth of ticks at a time and change the frequency after each call to that. -Matt From: Mejbaul Islam, Kazi M. via gem5-users <gem5-users@gem5.org> Sent: Wednesday, April 12, 2023 2:45 AM To: Manish manchali via gem5-users <gem5-users@gem5.org> Cc: Mejbaul Islam, Kazi M. <kmejbaulis...@ufl.edu> Subject: [gem5-users] Can I change GPU frequency on the fly while simulating gpu-fs? Caution: This message originated from an External Source. Use proper caution when opening attachments, clicking links, or responding. Hello, I was trying to simulate a scenario where an user can change gpu's operating voltage/frequency while any application is running. So far what I have seen while running gpu-fs, we can set a gpu frequency at which the gpu will operate. But is it possible to change it for a brief period of time? For example, I am running an application which takes 30 seconds to run on gpu. I initialized with default gpu frequency 1GHz. At 10th second, I want to set the frequency at 1.5GHz. Is that possible? If not, how can I do so? Regards, Kazi
