Hello,

After the efforts for compiling M5, which had errors due to bugs in a
version of swig, I wanted to test my build. I used the commands from the
website but (almost) all regression tests failed. I don't understand
what's going wrong. A small part of the output after typing
build/SPARC_SE/tests/debug
is this :

*****
build/SPARC_SE/tests/debug/quick/00.hello/sparc/linux/simple-timing
passed.

Running test in
build/SPARC_SE/tests/debug/quick/02.insttest/sparc/linux/o3-timing.
build/SPARC_SE/m5.debug -d
build/SPARC_SE/tests/debug/quick/02.insttest/sparc/linux/o3-timing -re
tests/run.py
build/SPARC_SE/tests/debug/quick/02.insttest/sparc/linux/o3-timing
M5 exited with non-zero status 1
***** build/SPARC_SE/tests/debug/quick/02.insttest/sparc/linux/o3-timing
FAILED!

Only 00.hello worked.

I'm using Scientific linux SL release 5.3 and the tools on my computer
are (only the version of swig changed):

gcc: gcc-c++.x86_64 version 4.1.2-44.el5

python: python.x86_64 version 2.4.3-24.el5_3.6

SCons: scons version 1.2.0.d20090919

swig: swig.x86_64 version 1.3.40

zlib:
zlib.i386 version 1.2.3-3 and
zlib.x86_64 version 1.2.3-3

m4: m4.x86_64 version 1.4.5-3.el5.1

Anyone who can help me out?

Max
