No they aren't. I get CDs from various sources with 1 or 2 minute vignettes. There are sometimes 60 or more. The do not have any tagging at all. Most are just a bunch of CDA files that I have to rip. I can rename them or put dates on them to change the file name when it is ripped. But they have ni ID tag information. The problem is, first off, tagging them with the appropriate ID information. That is really a pain. The next thing is trying to write a pal that will play one file (the same one) 4 times a day. I have never figured that out, so I have an event for each day of the week. I manually select the file that is to be played that day. The problem is also, once that file is played, it becomes an item in the ALL MUSIC category. When SAM burps or gets it's nose out of shape when it doesn't find a song that fits the rules, it will just grab anything it wants to. Especially these files from the ALL MUSIC list. I have even had SAM find and play random files that are in a subdirectory that contains other files that maybe have played. I have had SAM play files that have NEVER BEEN played, but are in a directory that has other files that have been played. (Yes, I wrote that twice in a different way so that everyone understands it). So what I want to do is use the feature in SAM that edits the music information and ID tag to only play a file 4 times - then delete it. This way, I don't care if it is out of order, because there really is no sequence to most of these vignettes. But I won't have the same file played over and over. I am just trying to change that bit in the song information that tells SAM to delete this file after it has played 4 times. I still have not had a solution to the problem. I have placed these files in the OTHER category, properly marked the TYPE as a N or P. But once it is played, SAM considers it open territory. The solution would be better control over my music rules, so that SAM doesn't get all pumped up when it can't find a song to fit the rules. but I am not exactly sure how to do that either. Ok, I am done with writing this encyclopedia. (My pain pills make me want to talk. Be glad your not on the phone with me.....)))))!!!!
