Just as an idea - How about following what Maven did with their site
(http://maven.apache.org/). Maven has
this issue of having 2 versions that are completely different and only
having one site to cater for both - a case
similar to Axis and Axis2.
Basically we give prominence to Axis2 and list the rest (rampart,
axis1 etc) under Axis projects.

Reading, after a certain age, diverts the mind too much from its
creative pursuits. Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain
too little falls into lazy habits of thinking - Albert Einstein
