Hi, all. I have a fun problem to share. I am running out of the Mandrake development tree, so maybe this is my fault. : ) I upgraded LILO this morning, and apparently the install script in the package did not run /sbin/lilo after the upgrade. Of course, neither did I. Now when I try and boot Linux, I get "Loading Linux...EBDA too big", and the system halts. I did have a rescue bootdisk, but apparently sitting in my desk drawer was too much for it, and the floppy is bad. I do not know how to proceed next. Using the Mandrake install CD, you can get a command prompt, and I can mount my root partition (of course, not as "/"). However, when I try and run lilo, there are problems b/c none of the paths are correct. I can boot my Windows installation just fine from LILO, so I am not completely crippled, but this really sucks. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance, John B. Cole __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get email at your own domain with Yahoo!
