Do you mean you want to run the X Windows System over the Internet? Just so
you know, you shouldn't expect very good performance. Despite what you may
have read, X really only gives good performance over a LAN or a high
bandwidth Internet connection. Well, at least for any type of complicated
application. Applications such as xterm or gvim will run nicely though.

This is somewhere that UNIX could pickup some tips from the Windows world.
For low-bandwith (or better) remote desktops Microsoft's RDP and Citrix's
ICA tend to leave X in the dust.
