I've never had any problems exchanging faulty hardware at CompUSA - I recently bought a big UPS there (1400VA) - I plugged it in and found that it failed the smoke test. They replaced it without any questions when I returned it the next day.
Most software is non-returnable after it's been opened ... it's almost as if you ... heavens forbid ... *own* it as soon as you open it. BTW - has anyone had any luck returned a Microsoft O/S that arrived "bundled" with a PC... the license says that you can return it but I'm just a little skeptical that it's worth the effort... -- Edmund Cramp http://www.emgsrus.com/graffiti.htm > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Behalf Of Larry Braud > Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2002 6:35 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [brluglist] New Best Buy store > > > I have never returned opened software to CompUSA, but I > returned two modems > I could not get to work and they gave me credit. > Larry > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Chopin Cusachs" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2002 6:12 PM > Subject: Re: [brluglist] New Best Buy store > > > > > > There have been similar complaints with CompUSA.
