I must be psychic because I had a feeling that you were about to bring up that topic! <G> Actually I feel the same way about it.......in fact, I want to learn to do as much as possible without X. Still, I'm glad to hear that I have the option of using alternate package managers. I wonder about the Alien project though......I wonder if a .deb file being ported to an .rpm file would have the same limitations during installation that an un-migrated .rpm file would have.
