I think it's good. If AOL can buy out Redhat and possibly increase the Linux user base, it can only mean good things. If you don't like AOLinux, get another distro, no big deal. But it should bring wider recognition to Linux in general, and with a larger user base, less companies would be reluctant to either develop new applications, or port their existing applications to the platform.
