I am going to go out on a limb here and assume that you are referencing the resolution when you fire up XFree86 and not when you are at the command prompt (i.e., 43 lines vs 25 lines). Should this be the case, I have not heard anything about using LILO. However, you can start-up in a higher resolution by changing the order of your valid screen resolutions in XF86Config. For example, instead of having 640x480 800x600 1024x768, you would simply reverse the order -> 1024x768 800x600 640x480. I know that you did not ask, but you can also set the color depth too if needed (DefaultColorDepth 24). If this is not the information in which you seek, let me know and I will see with what I can find. -K Chopin Cusachs <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Somewhere I saw mention of a parameter that can be set in the Lilo config file to make it start with a better resolution.
