Add the following line to your lilo.conf: vga = ask
When you reboot, you will be asked to choose another resolution. Depending on your hw, you will get about a dozen resolutions to choose from. When you find one you like, you can set "vga=6" or whatever resolution choice you like. Do "man lilo.conf" for the official scoop.
