I actually looked into this a few weeks ago when it was first brought up.
I'd basically want to use whatever open video standards are out there, and
my current hardware is not really up to it. Also, I've never really done
video recording before, so I imagine someone with more experience would be a
better choice. To do a good video, everyone that talks would need a mic, and
you would need a good camera man. These things could happen, but it would
take a heck of a lot of prep and planning.

I've been thinking that instead of taping, how about some kinda groupware
based on-line demo where one person is talking via voice and showing viewers
how to run commands and use apps? The viewers could respond via IRC to
another operator helping to run the show. I don't know of any free software
to do the voice and multicast video streaming. Does anybody? This could be
captured to a video file for re-viewing.
