Choppy, My recommendation at this point is that you should try another installation and log the steps taken and the results seen so steps can be duplicated.
I personally did not have a good experience with RedHat 7.3 as it did not setup my boot partition correctly (wouldn't boot after a normal installation). I don't have a need to run it at the moment, so I'm not planning to use it anytime soon.
