Let me see if I am able to address each of your questions individually: On Tuesday 02 July 2002 20:50, you wrote: > Hmm. I have played with alternate configurations, but have not tried 'slot 0' open with a DIMM place in 'slot 1'. If there was a bad 'slot 0' socket, would the motherboard be any good? It seems that with 'slot 0' and 'slot 1' both occupied by a DIMM, and 'slot 0' assumed bad that would be the same as testing with only a DIMM in 'slot 1'. The front-side bus speed (133 MHz) is set via jumpers on the motherboard. I just can't get the stinking box to recognize that I have any memory on-board. > > 3) Have you checked the mfg's site for trouble shooting tips specific > to your hardware? I have checked the sight. Well, with only two cards (graphics & NIC) that ought to be easy enough. It was just the weirdest thing. Everything was fine, then it froze, I tried to reboot...and then...well, nothing. -K
