Hi Dustin,
Sounds like a great suggestion. However, I think I am doing this for me
rather than the client and nothing has been formally discussed with the
owner of the place; just the manager. I am just looking for possibilities
for now. My  best and cheapest alternative so far is a Linux box with an
ncurses application and forget about the register completely. However, I am
still really curious to know how this works.
