Actually I ment what local company is the work for? Some local vendors are working with ICL, the Israeli based company as well as products from Casio and NCR. And there are even more brands available. It depends on who the local vendor is. Of course you will need an actual cash register at your desktop to be able to test with. Are you taking on the project as a contractor supplying a finished package or as an employee punching a time clock? If you can get an actual machine from the vendor they should be able to supply you with programming manuals. I personally would not take the project without a working cash register and manuals from the manufacturer. That type of application requires an ap be rigorously tested before its 1.0 release. Store owners have little patience for screw ups. It is not a pretty sight to make a service call in a 10 lane grocery store at 5:00 on a Friday afternoon to troubleshoot buggy software.
