Kory, I am running Lycoris Desktop/LX on a Compaq Presario 1825 and it is working just GREAT! LX found all the hardware right out the shoot and I was even able to configure the Micro$oft mouse to work in harmony with the touchpad on the laptop. This machine is a Pentium II-366 with 128 meg ram, 6 gig HD, Toshiba DVD/CD-ROM drive, 15' TFT display, ATI Rage Pro Lite video card, ESS sound, Lucent modem and Intel network card and LX found it all and properly configured it the 1st time through. I am dual booting Win 98 Lite and LX.
I hope this helps, Ed Richards, PE Staff Electrical Engineer Ford, Bacon & Davis, LLC 12021 Lakeland Park Drive Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809 Office - 225-297-3335 Fax - 225-756-3056 Cell - 225-964-2606 [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Anyhow...I guess I was asking for recommendations. What brands (and models) of laptops/notebooks are any of the group using in conjunction with Linux? I am curious about likes/dislikes and features/deficiencies.
