This would certainly work, Bill, but I think it would
be better to keep it as simple as possible. MD5 sums
are an already well known verification for Linux
distros, and ideally we should stick to that.

I think it is possible to generate md5 sums for an
entire CD from within M$ Windows, since the Mandrake
distro seems to do that. I'd like to keep researching
that possibility before we rule it out and do
something else.
