Dustin, if I recall correctly you have a DSL (Telocity = DirectTV)
connection.
My question for you is: Has the service been intermittent for the past few
days?  The reason I am asking is because I installed Mandrake 9.0 a few days
ago and have been having a difficult time getting an IP number via DCHP.  I
am not sure if I am dealing with a buggy (as per Shannon) distribution
version or if something else is happening.  Any light that you are able to
provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
