well in my opinion, you cant really compare debian and redhat, except
that they are linux.  redhat is making the move towards desktop os,
while debian has pretty much had its focus on "as stable as possible"
os.. debian is as close as you can get to freebsd (again, imo)... i
depeds on what you are looking for... check out www.distrowatch.com for
info on different distributions...
