I was extremely impressed with the Battle of Helm's Deep. I thought the beginning of the movie was rather slow. To many cut scenes of mountains and other things that had nothing to do with the story. Now, without spoiling anything for anyone, there was a twist that was added that varied from the book in regards to Frodo that I was not happy about. Why change the damn story, if the story was bad then don't make a movie about it. What I'm referring to is a place where Frodo was forced to visit. That's not the way the book went, we'll see with the 3rd movie what other creative changes were made. Hopefully nothing as drastic.
Overall, yes an excellent movie of which I think Tolkien himself would appreciate. -- Brad Bendily - CNA On Thu, 19 Dec 2002, John Hebert wrote: > As a long-time fan of "The Lord of the Rings" since I was 13, I've been > waiting for the movie depiction of the Battle of Helm's Deep for almost > 25 years.
