I only suggest dual booting for newbies if there is no other way. I see dual booting as an issue, because at the first sign of trouble, the user will go back to windows, an environment where they know what to do when somehting doesnt work (reboot, reinstall, reboot). and if its something like network problems, well, its hard going back and forth for online documentation and whatnot. I always suggest they they use a spare computer, or just whipe windows. dual booting gives newbies a crutch to fall back on, which can hinder learning. --mat || Paul's Law: You can't fall off the floor.
