Originally I was thinking of making the machine a dual boot. At this point I solved most of the glitches in Mandrake. I am still trying to get the original CD for it. It staggers me that Linux will load on a Gateway and MS Windows 98 blows up completely during the install. Now wonder Dell is beating Gateway's corporate head in. What a piece of trash!
Now I am backing up her old PC a P-200/128MB Ram/6 Gig HDD to the Gateway. I am going to reload her old PC (which crashes two or three times a day). I am putting a legal copy of Win98 on it, and everything else will be Open Source.
