Bob, I'm just curious if on your XP Pro install if you did an upgrade from any of the 9x series to XP? Many times this causes XP Pro to become very very unstable and also if you have lots of legacy hardware in your system.

(I don't like the interface and how it babies the user). FYI until a power failure in my residence hall last semester, my Windows XP machine had a longer uptime then acm.cs.uop.edu (Debian on a Sparc 64) which was 35 days. MAL
