Well, VIA says it is supported:

From: http://www.via.com.tw/en/viac3/c3.jsp

Full x86 Operating System & software application compatibility Leverages
the richest and most cost-effective software development platforms,
including Microsoft® Windows® and Linux.

You also may want to google around for a review of the VIA C3 based CPUs
concerning Linux compatiblity. My understanding of the VIA C3 CPU is that
it is x86 compatible.
