Don't be so sure. Try installing a minimal distro, homebrewed kernel, and X. You may find yourself drinking a lot of Jolt cola and sacrificing various small rodents just to work the bugs out. These have been out long enough that you may get around the previous X & /dev/input complications, but you're better off just getting a decent machine. Or hell, buy an iPod and a USB keyboard. You'll likely get better mileage out of one and can boast about your "new boxen" for cross-compiles. -Jeff
