HEY! My PC Chips PII-400 with a Via chipset seems to do that. The audio "hangs up". comes out in short burst, and causes the CPU to run at 100%! I'm using the "on-board" audio setup and it may have "crapped out." I've swapped out all the memory (PC-133) for "known good" and it still does it. It was all good until I put that dang M$ Media Player 9 on the machine.
