OH MY GOD!!!! I'm emering Gnome.....well I say I'm doing it but I kicked it off last night at about 9:30pm and its still rocking and rollin. Wish I had used Window Maker instead now. Btw, if I went insane and wanted to try Gnome, KDE and Window Maker....would I simply emerge them all ......editing the make.conf file as needed and then configure the startup scripts to launch whichever environment I wished to get into? I realize this kind of defeats the purpose of building a system with JUST want you want to use but at this point I'm still in the "install and play until I break it and start all over cycle". Of course, I need to re-read this but I think I remember seeing that I can use portage to back this stuff out and start all over again, can't I? I think I may end up purchasing one of the Linux friendly "Ghosting" apps. It would be nice to set up my own Damn Small Linux or Knoppix CD's just to do imaging and/or disaster recovery restoration. I think Morphix might make this relatively easy because you can just load any extras as modules.......has anyone done this yet? Cleve
