Same here... I keep ssh connections up to work for quite a while without 
a problem... I also traverse the LSU network when I get to work, so it 
is hard to say whose fault it really is when I lose my connections.  I 
would suspect that it is LSU.  I do know that Cox will perform scheduled 
maintenance without telling the affected users though.  Really ticks me 
off when I call and say "Hey, my connection is down" and they respond 
with "yeah we have scheduled maintenance on such and such..."
