Hi Dustin: I just read your posting again and this paper will address your issue in glorious detail. Your authenticatioon is not working because you have to converted your public key from putty using cygwin and save it under .ssh on the remote machine with the name authenticated-keys ( or something like that, it is in the paper ). You might also want to look at the Password and RSA variables but it sounds like you already did that since itt was working with cygwin( using RSA I assume ).
Please do not send me letters, I have enough threats from my creditors ;-) Alvaro Zuniga On Thursday 24 July 2003 03:48 pm, Dustin Puryear wrote: > At 10:50 AM 7/23/2003 -0500, you wrote: > >Sounds like you need to deactivate PasswordAuthenticatioon and activate > > RSA authenticatioon in in /etc/ssh/sshd.conf. > > > >Check out the section about PuTTY right here: > > > >http://home.hiwaay.net/~gstarche/ExerciseSupplemental-Cygwin-VNC.pdf > > 1.
