There are no standards for laptop LCD screen wiring that I know of. I
imagine that it is different for each manufacturer.

I've read that there are standards that exist for other laptop parts, such
as memory, hard drives, etc. I don't know about LCD screens.

John, you should know better than me, I've only peeked at the wires and
plugs of an old 486 laptop, are there any common, higher level plugs for
LCD display units that might be analogous to a normal VGA adaptor?  It
would make sense to buy units like that, but these are the same people
who started using winmodems.
