[brlug-general] Email - Clear Text - help???

I have been using wireless network on lsu campus a lot
lately and I am very uncomfortable checking my email
(using pop) over the wireless network. None of my
email providers (including Yahoo who I pay for pop
access) give secure pop or IMAP. LSU has IMAP for some
mail servers but even that is not done securely. What
are my options here? How do you guys deal with this?
