Well I have something similar to that(IMAP without SSL
but I bet IMAP with SSL isn't going to take too much
time.) I can use fetchmail to get from all my
accounts. but the problem comes with bellsouth trying
to renew my IP. Sometimes the IP doesn't change for
couple of days and sometimes it renews every other
hour. I have set up
no-ip script to update my ip every time it changes but
sometimes it fails to change.

Now searching for options i found that you could
tunnel fetchmail thru ssh. but then again my
*AlwaysOn* 50 times faster than dialup(Crap) DSL
connection shouldn't mess things up.
Shannon who's your ISP(i guess its not cox!)?
