They revised the rules forty days ago. Many contestants were not notified they are no longer eligible. Check the DARPA site. Many claims of foul play have been raised. DARPA says they it is to include only the best. So why exclude anoyone? Read the fine print. They are not going to follow through on some semi-granted grants! DARPA changed the rules in some serious ways.
Doug - who works in sponsored programs at the AgCenter. I read these notices for a living. Anyone interested in robtic grants write me off-list, a cool one was just published. It involves human interacting with semi-autonomous robots and the effect of the lack of human interaction due to inattention. Big bucks, losts of travel.
