Happy b-day! ;-) I had a linux web server at my last job up for 465 days when I left. I think it went another 3-6 months before it ate a disk and had to have the mirror rebuilt. Not bad for an original VA linux box that had been running continuously for about 3-4 years prior to that. I had another Data General server that we left running a very long time because we were afraid the hardware wouldn't come back up if we stopped it. -- Bryce T.
