I have installed Mepis 2004.5 on several computers at home, and have
found the Distro to be very user friendly. I consider myself to be a
?newbie?, and the Distro almosts installs it self. It recognizes my network,
and nearly configures itself, with a couple of mouse clicks.I can mount
Macintosh & windows with no problems. As it does not seem to allow any
manual configuration, during install, I have some problems maybe someone
can help with. At boot you can select between Kernel 2.6.4 or
2.4.25.When I boot into 2.6.4 I can configured my printer with no
problems. I am using a Hewlett Packard 3420,on the otherhand my wheel
mouse doesn't work. when I boot into 2.4.25,the wheel mouse works
properly, but I have yet to get my printer setup. The network setup
works great in either Kernel. Any help or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Joseph Zachary
