There doesn't seem to be much to the article, but it looks about right. MP3 support has been missing from the distro for some time, since the license for mp3 is incompatible with the GPL. GNOME does look great, and it's easy to add lots of non-included software with the use of 3rd-party yum repositories. ESR has an article on playing video using software that's easily gotten via yum, not sure where it is but a google search should turn it up.
