No, students sign no contract.  Nor are they offered an "ego teat".  Nor have 
such deals been common until 20 years ago.

Why not compare it to organ "donations" from prisons in China?  It's beside 
the point.  The job market is bad, in part because of patent abuse, and the 
abusers are free to screw the people who work for them.  LSU is not supposed 
to imitate that kind of behavior any more than they should be robbing banks.

That's one of the reasons this whole thing is stupid.  Only the lawyers are 
going to win the patent game.  Is that what LA wants to teach?

If it's such a great deal, why use force to get it?  They should have 
confidence in the service they offer, but they don't.
