Greetings, all! I am having a huge problem with Bellsouth's Newsgroup feeds. This problem just started today, and I spent time with Bellsouth's technical support people. They told me that it was my router. Knowing that this was bogus (I get the same problem without a router), I bring the problem here. I appreciate any tips or insight that comes my way about this.
Below is the log from Pan, the newsreader I use. Notably, I get an identical error from Knode. --------------------------------- Pan 0.14.2.91 Started Directory "/home/anderon/.pan/messages/cache" contains 0.0 MB in 0 files Directory "/home/anderon/.pan/messages/folders/pan.sent" contains 0.0 MB in 11 files Directory "/home/anderon/.pan/messages/folders/pan.sendlater" contains 0.0 MB in 2 files News server connection count: 0 Loaded 35 groups for server "Bellsouth" in 0.0 seconds (33175 groups/sec) Loaded 4859 articles for group "alt.2600" in 0.1 seconds (37351 art/sec) Scored 4859 entries in 0.0 seconds (4859000 articles/sec) New connection 0x88fdee0 for newsgroups.bellsouth.net, port 119 NNTP handshake failed: 400 Too Many Connections [BS-USER5 allows 4 per host/0 per feed (0 == nolimit)] (Tornado v1.0.6.363) Handshake failed: 400 Too Many Connections [BS-USER5 allows 4 per host/0 per feed (0 == nolimit)] (Tornado v1.0.6.363) News server connection count: 1 News server connection count: 0 ----------------------------------- Any help would be appreciated...
