I realized your point after I replied earlier. I could
have tried changing my laptop's MAC address to match
that of the vonage thingie and manually releasing it
like you suggest.
But now if I messed around with it, my wife would kill
me. ;)

Same here. We didn't shop around but went with Vonage
because they seem to have a good package and support.
Now I wish we had shopped around more.

Actually have a Linksys WRT54G but on the Eatel
Internet connection.

Mostly this solution came about due to my wife's need
for a quick solution. I like having the VoIP on
another Internet connection; my wife doesn't get mad
at me when I download lots of stuff. ;)
