Actualy this is no longer true for Vonage. at least in 504. I have 7 digit local dialing and have 911 though it's not as good as 'traditional' 911 service -- they don't know my location automagically as is the case with a mobile phone. battery backup is my responsibility. and if Cox goes down, I have no landline (though it forwards to my mobile automatically). and it runs me $16.94 a month for 500 minutes including Long distance, which is all I really need with a mobile phone too. > > _______________________________________________ > General mailing list > [email protected] > http://brlug.net/mailman/listinfo/general_brlug.net > -- Scott Harney <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "Asking the wrong questions is the leading cause of wrong answers" gpg key fingerprint=7125 0BD3 8EC4 08D7 321D CEE9 F024 7DA6 0BC7 94E5
