Surely a subjective opinion. Q3A was fun for a while
but CS still holds my interest after 7 years. The mod
community around CS is still going strong compared to
Q3A.
To answer Blake's original question: I don't know of
any besides those already mentioned. A group of people
I work with get together twice a year and rent a small
meeting room at a local hotel and do LAN gaming. Comes
out to about $10-$20 per person depending on the
number of participants.
Why specifically are you interested in high bandwidth
in a public space? Clan gaming? Are there any local
hotels with meeting rooms for rent that have WIFI?
I might leave my cave for some LAN gaming with fellow
BRLUGgers.
