You might want to try out Mepis. Ed showed it to me a year ago and it introduced me to the interesting world of Debian unstable with a few commercial goodies. The commercial goodies are mostly annoyances but the rest if great. Auto hardware recognition is as good as Knoppix and it works well as a live CD. Nicer than that are all of the KDE stuff they throw in and configure. Apt-get upgrades are a trial, because of all of the customized configuration files and the speed of change, but apt-get install usually works. > > > Are we grumpy today? > > No, not grumpy ...
