Fellow LUGger's, I have a need to develop a "start screen" for both my WIN 2k Pro and Xandros Linux dual-boot box before they 'offically' start.
Deep blue screen with the word, "Access Number:" about one-forth the way down and centered. Halfway down and centered a black box with the ability to type in 16 numbers and/or letter combination. Once the proper 'code' is entered, the screen closes and the next screen is black with (depending on the TIME of day), it would read: "Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening (my name). Then, it would list the dual-boot possibilities. Once selected (usually Xandros, LOL!), it would start the Xandros program. Am I asking too much? I know nothing about programing or which program I could use to accomplish this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am also posting this on the Newbie list as well. I'm not near Baton Rouge, so meeting someone for coffee, tea, or a JAX beer is out of the question, LOL! Chappie is probably the ONLY one that remembers, "Hello Yellow, Mellow, Little Darlin', You're the one for me...." LOL!
