You could use the Grub boot loader. You have a pretty specific requirement of what you want. I can't help you get that specific. But Grub will let you put in a password that someone will have to use to boot to either one of your installations. I'm pretty sure Grub will do that. I haven't used to to password protect a install. But I have used the Grub password feature to protect someone from editing Grub itself. Did you install Grub? Try it. BB
