You still have some options. If you really want to test the on board video, you can use a PCI video card if you have one or can borrow one from someone. I used to have one that had 2MB (!) of memory, and I'd let you borrow it, but it died. IIRC, most BIOS are usually set to use a PCI card first. If it doesn't work, then it might have been set at some point to use the on-board video first. Crack the case back open, remove the battery (or try and figure out if you can use a jumper) to reset the settings, and try the PCI card again. Other than that, I can't think of anything, and it might be time for a new computer/motherboard.
