I can't wait to answer this question. total cost, $0. total recurring cost, $0.
Google allows free calling within the US. If you were to build a box, or add a box to your network, you'd have cost for power. but since asterisk can run on the smallest of machines, that cost can be negligible. I already had a box running, which is another reason i wanted asterisk on that box too, keeping my power cost down. I had Vonage for about 5 years or more. And, i was using less than 100 minutes per month and my cost kept creeping up. So I dropped it, but i'm hoping this new setup will be stable and let me replace that with no loss of functionality. This works with my google voice number and allows incoming/outgoing calls from the SIP phone on my network. I intend to get a wifi SIP phone and will be able to use around the house. so far so good. bb On Wed, Dec 15, 2010 at 11:43 AM, Byron Como <[email protected]> wrote: > What is your total recuring monthly costs with this setup?
